The UN urges windfall tax on the earnings of oil and fuel giants.

A brand new research has discovered that the oil and fuel trade produced virtually $3bn a day in earnings for the final 50 years.

It’s now cashing in much more cash, because the struggle in Ukraine has pushed up power costs.

The United Nations secretary-general criticised the sky-high earnings as “grotesque greed”, at a time when tens of millions of individuals around the globe really feel the pinch of the rising price of residing. Antonio Guterres urged governments to tax the earnings of power giants.

Elsewhere, the race is on for semiconductors; america is spending billions to spice up manufacturing, whereas maintaining a tally of China.
