BEIRUT — U.S.-led coalition forces captured a senior Islamic State chief in a navy operation in northern Syria on Thursday, the coalition mentioned.
In a press release, it mentioned the captured chief was an skilled bomb maker and operational facilitator, describing him as one of many high leaders of the extremist group’s Syria department.
The assertion didn’t determine the person nor say the place the raid happened. It mentioned the operation was “profitable” with no civilians harmed nor any accidents to coalition forces.
