Russia tries to regain misplaced territory in Ukraine with new bases close to Kherson metropolis | NEWSRUX

Within the 9 months since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has not backed down from its maximalist objective of regaining management of Ukraine.

However in line with the Institute for the Research of Struggle, Moscow has partially blurred its goals in an effort to mislead Western nations into pressuring Ukraine to sue for peace.

As Euronews Correspondent Sasha Vakulina explains, Russian forces are actually persevering with defensive operations on the jap financial institution of the Kherson area.

Satellite tv for pc imagery reveals the development of Russian fortifications north of Radensk, 25km southeast of Kherson Metropolis, alongside the freeway that runs to Armiansk.

It has additionally confirmed the continuing building of defensive positions close to Zaozerne, alongside the highway to Henichesk.

Each Armiansk and Henichesk are near the border of Russian-occupied Crimea.

The UK defence ministry says that within the final two weeks, Russia has seemingly redeployed main components of its airborne forces from the Kherson area to the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts within the Donbas.
